When I USED TO BE a child my family often went to Chinatown in San Francisco to buy and feature lunch or dinner. One time I remember hearing some old men talking in Cantonese and asking my grandfather what they were saying. He have been within the CIA and was fluent in different dialects after spending several years in China, but he said he couldn't understand them.
