Players from all countries can PLAY!
If you are not enjoying the instant while gaming, something goes wrong! I USED TO BE on the Waste Management Celebrity Casino and Poker Charity Night previous to the kick-off of the 2014 PGA Tour stop in Scottsdale, Arizona and realized gaming isn't everything. Apparently there's also bidding on cool stuff for charity, eating a number of free food, and winning stuff in raffles. I also frolicked being attentive to the Nate Williams Band (Nate's got an ideal voice), and testing the stuff that Fender brought, like vintage Stratocasters that I played, understanding fully why I write words rather than playing notes.
Waste Management, which sponsored the night of fun (oh, and that golf thing also) on the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort, was very generous with the invitations (hey, I got one), and with the food and open bar. The resort is amazing, the folk were terrific, and Waste Management also post $20,000 in prize money for the poker tournament winner to separate between the Phoenix Children's Hospital and the charity in their choice.
Guests got to benefit from the company of players like Rickie Fowler and Charley Hoffman, NFL Hall of Famer Ricard Dent (who finished third within the poker tournament), and NBA Hall of Famer Julius "Dr. J." Erving, who wandered behind the blackjack tables and said "I'm only a Pit Boss here." Tournament Director and CEO of Dream Dealers Casino Events, Jeff Geller, ran a fantastic evening for the guests, and players around the room were all smiles gaming for fun on the nearly 24 tables of blackjack, craps, roulette and poker. In fact, even Waste Management's CEO, David Steiner sat-in to deal some poker!
Guests were in a position to play casino games all night, and plenty of found dealers they liked such a lot that they only stayed at one table for the entire event. Others walked the ground and tried games they did not learn about like Three-Card-Poker Prime, and craps. On the end of the night, players traded their chips in for raffle tickets, and placed their tickets into drawing boxes for gifts in their choice, from golf clubs to golf passes, or even jewelry. Considering fun, thinking about charity, and all sponsored by Waste Management and Fender Corp. Who says it's important to play for money to have a really perfect time?
