Danica Patrick got motors revving this week when she tried her hand at being a Vegas showgirl in the course of the 2013 American Country awards in Las Vegas.
Danica pulled double duty throughout the award show as she not just dressed up like a Vegas showgirl for some of the musical numbers but she was also a co-host of the awards ceremony with country singer Trace Adkins.
Held at Mandalay Bay, most of the big names from the rustic music scene were available for the festivities. The outlet bit with Danica and Adkins included the 2 being pulled over by a police officer that turned out to be an Elvis impersonator, with other gags and skits sprinkled within the show.
Danica teased her Twitter followers with a couple of hints previous to the show with what could be in store, tweeting that her planned wardrobe for the show included choices that were "Some conventional...some not".
In the spirit of items Adkins donned a showgirl costume too but it's likely Danica who will see a surge in Google searches for "Danica Patrick showgirl" versus "Trace Adkins showgirl" queries.
Danica likely had to blow off some steam after a difficult season driving in NASCAR's Sprint Cup series. She started the season off strong with an excellent finish at Daytona but it surely was rough sledding for the remainder of the year in her first full season driving within the Sprint Cup circuit.
Her glare-down of Jay Mohr on the NASCAR season-end banquet also held in Vegas made headlines as well, with Mohr cracking that he hoped Danica wasn't uncomfortable being so on the subject of the stage as she's not used to being in front, and getting an icy glare in response.
